children from all backgrounds across the United States. Our approach is inclusive, compassionate,
and driven by the belief that a single opportunity can have a lasting impact on a young person’s life.

MCS Foundation is a nonprofit organization founded on August 9, 2023, in Osage, Iowa. We were created with a singular purpose: to honor the legacy of my late son, Marquis Shaw, who had an extraordinary love for sports and a heart for helping others—especially young people. His dedication to coaching and mentoring young athletes continues to inspire everything we do. As a foundation, we carry forward his spirit by creating opportunities for children to participate in sports camps, attend live events, and engage with the life-changing benefits of organized athletics.
At MCS Foundation, we believe that every child deserves a chance to explore their passion for sports, regardless of their family’s financial situation. We understand how sports can teach valuable life skills such as teamwork, discipline, resilience, and leadership. Beyond the physical and emotional benefits, sports also offer a sense of community and belonging—something every child deserves to experience.
We believe in the power of sports to change lives. Through camps, coaching, and access to sporting events, children gain more than athletic skill—they build confidence, discipline, teamwork, and a sense of belonging. Unfortunately, many families are unable to afford these experiences. That’s where we come in.
MCS Foundation exists to bridge this gap. We provide financial support to help send children to sports camps and, in special cases, allow ill or disadvantaged youth to attend sporting events that can uplift and inspire them. Our goal is to remove the financial barriers that prevent children frompursuing their passion and realizing their potential through athletics
Sports were a large part of his life. He loved playing football, basketball, and volleyball and was one step away from getting his coaching license. His dream was to help young players develop their skills and coach them to becoming successful sports players.
This foundation is my way to honor his dream and help change young lives by giving them the opportunities they need to make their dreams a reality.
All donations will be used towards sending kids to sports camps to education them about the sports they love most.
